Female yacht skipper/captain having completed four transatlantic crossings on small sailing boats, over 50,000 sailing miles and a dinghy sailing instructor. I have delivered boats for owners in the Mediterranean, Europe and Caribbean. I worked as a flotilla captain in the British Virgin Islands and have sailed throughout the caribbean chain and Belize. Travelled extensively over the last 20 years including hitch hiking in Scandanavia, inter-railing in Europe, Backpacking in the Middle East, South East Asia, Australia, North Africa, USA, Canada, Central America and South America. I have worked and lived in the US, Belize, France and the Caribbean. Travel writing has thus progressed from a hobby to a profession. I have had articles published for Therapy Weekly (A UK based magazine for therapists). One on the Treatment of Dog Phobia in people with Learning Difficulties and the other on Setting up a self medication programme for the elderly.
